The SpacePress app is designed to process photos and videos entirely on the user's device. The app has no accounts, advertising, analytics, tracking, or server that processes the Photo Library.
Photo Library
SpacePress requests read-and-write access to the Photo Library to find large local files, create verified compressed copies, place those copies in the SpacePress album, compare originals with copies, and delete originals only after the user explicitly requests deletion through the system Photos confirmation.
The app does not upload photos, videos, metadata, thumbnails, or scan results. Network access is disabled for PhotoKit data requests, so originals stored only in iCloud are identified and excluded rather than downloaded.
If iCloud Photos is enabled, copies created and originals deleted by the user may sync through Apple's Photos service under the user's Apple Account. Apple performs that synchronization, not SpacePress.
Purchases
The optional SpacePress Pro purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit. SpacePress receives product and entitlement status from Apple but does not receive or store payment-card details. Purchase history is governed by the user's Apple Account and Apple's privacy policy.
Data stored on the device
SpacePress stores the following locally inside the app container:
- app preferences;
- the free sample selection;
- skipped-item identifiers;
- compression history and original-to-copy relationships;
- queue recovery state;
- review-prompt eligibility.
This data is used only to provide app functionality and is not transmitted to the developer. Deleting SpacePress removes its local app-container data. Compressed copies saved to Photos remain in the user's Photo Library until the user removes them.
Website and support requests
This website does not use accounts, advertising cookies, analytics, or tracking pixels. If you submit the support form, we transmit the email address, category, language, and message you provide so that we can respond.
The form delivers the message to our support inbox through an email delivery provider. We keep the conversation only as long as needed to resolve the request and maintain a reasonable support history. You can request deletion by emailing the address below.
To limit abuse, the server temporarily keeps the request IP address in memory during a one-hour window. It is not stored in a database or used to identify, profile, or track the user.
Tracking and third parties
The SpacePress app does not track users, create advertising profiles, sell personal information, or share Photo Library information with third parties. The app contains no third-party dependencies.
The website uses only the infrastructure required to host these pages and deliver support messages. Those providers may process technical data necessary to provide their services under their own security and privacy obligations.
